Shepherd Abotar Gains Admission to St John’s Grammar Senior High School
A Promising Journey Begins!

St. John’s Grammar Senior High School has long been known as a nurturing ground for academic excellence and sporting talent. On 3 November 2025, the school added another bright name to its growing list of promising athletes with the admission of young football prodigy, Shepherd Abotar.
Shepherd’s enrollment into the Greater Accra–based institution came through the combined efforts of DelSul Sports Agency, its management team, and his supportive family. His admission followed a significant milestone in his young career — a successful signing with Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club, where he was officially registered with the club’s Under-17 team, Royal Oak.
Even before he stepped fully into school life, Shepherd’s reputation as a disciplined and technically gifted footballer had already arrived ahead of him. News of his association with Hearts of Oak quickly spread across campus, particularly among the school’s sports department. Sports masters from House One and House Three showed immediate and keen interest in recruiting him, aware that such a talent could influence future competitions.
The situation soon generated intense attention and competition, reflecting both Shepherd’s growing profile and the school’s passion for sports development. To ensure fairness and maintain order, the school’s sports master, Mr. Eugene Marfo, stepped in to manage the process professionally. His intervention ensured that proper discussions were held and that Shepherd’s welfare and development remained the priority.
After careful deliberations, House Three emerged successful in securing Shepherd Abotar. Their convincing vision and confidence in his potential played a key role, setting the stage for what would soon become an exciting chapter in the school’s sporting story.
For St. John’s Grammar SHS, Shepherd’s admission represented more than just a student enrollment — it marked the arrival of a young athlete whose journey already showed signs of greatness.
