Aggrey Memorial A.M.E. Zion Senior High School has successfully qualified for the 2026 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) Championship after a hard-fought victory on Day Two of the Central Regional Qualifiers.
The school, located in Cape Coast, demonstrated remarkable composure against Gomoa SDA SHS during Contest Three, finishing with a total of 51 points, which secured their advancement to the national competition.
From the outset, both institutions showcased their preparedness by answering all initial questions correctly in what was an intense opening round.
Aggrey Memorial gained a crucial edge following an engaging exchange with Gomoa SDA that maintained its competitive spirit throughout.
Speed Race Segment
The Speed Race round further strengthened Aggrey Memorial’s position as the school consistently responded quickly and accurately, while Gomoa SDA continued to mount pressure.
True or False Round
During the True or False round, each participating school vied for vital points; however, Aggrey Memorial upheld its advantage as they approached the concluding phases of the contest.
Riddles Round
Gomoa SDA displayed resilience during the Riddles round by dominating this final section and narrowing Aggrey’s margin. Despite this impressive late effort, it ultimately fell short of overturning Aggrey’s lead.
